Brittany Stephenson was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. Including her own three young children, Brittany’s large family currently spans five generations, all of whom have contributed to her journey into photography.

From the time she was a small child, Brittany has had a camera in hand and a great eye for detail. By the time she was in high school, she was the ‘official’ family photographer and story-teller.

Trained in professional photography in San Diego, California, she has worked diligently to develop her talents – telling stories through the eye of a camera.

She successfully blends her professional skills with her personal desire to document and preserve the precious stories told through major life-events. She demonstrates this source of inspiration through her photojournalistic style in color, black and white, and using studio lighting with all digital formats.

Her sensitivity to preserve special moments becomes obvious in precious ‘behind-the-scenes’ shots as well as the ‘expected’ moments that she captures at engagement shoots, weddings, births, childhood milestones, sports events, parties and other on-location sites. She also has some unique outdoor and indoor locations that are favorites for family shots as well.

In addition, she has a professional in-home studio, well-equipped for more private and personal times such as pregnancy pictures, newborn or infant shoots, family groupings and others. Children and babies relate well to Brittany’s calm and loving personality and you will delight in the results of her work.
